Central South flooring carpenters from Oklahoma and Texas took advantage of a week longs worth of training at the Tulsa Training Center from top manufacturers in the flooring industry.
Underlayment manufacturer Schonox kicked things off, with help from UBC flooring instructors from Kansas City, Doug Mannell and Ron Shaffer. Concrete polishing is a popular and growing trend, with lots of man-hours potential in the Southern construction industry. To keep up with this new technology, Josh Jones from Substrate Technologies led a concrete polishing demonstration and concrete grinding training. Both Tulsa and Dallas union carpenters, who are employed by signatory contractor Image Flooring, are completing a project at Oklahoma State Universitys soccer stadium. They spent their evenings at the training center to complete their INSTALL certification process. Image employees and apprentices also spent time with Brent Long of Mapei to focus on bettering their substrate and adhesive skills.
